Community Guidelines

The Jade Club community is carefully curated by our Membership Committee who thoroughly vet potential members prior to their acceptance. Not everyone will get in; those not admitted to membership are placed on a waitlist that we periodically review to determine if an applicant’s status changes.

In reviewing applications, we do not discriminate based on race, religion, age, ethnicity, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender or sexual identities, lifestyle choices, or disability.

There is a membership fee to join; this helps ensure that each member is here for the right reasons (cue The Bachelor theme song). It also helps us provide a high quality experience for our members, including perks like members-only events, our matchmaker service, and more.

To join, members must be:

- Single and looking for a meaningful relationship in some capacity

- Willing to bear with us as we improve and experience start-up growing pains

No screenshots or screen recordings are allowed while using the app (unless to report bugs). Members are responsible for ensuring the privacy of their fellow Jade Clubbers, many of whom have joined under the assumption that their participation and personal information will not be disclosed in the public domain, whether in any press, personal blogs, or social media.

We reserve the right to suspend or expel members who violate this confidentiality policy. A refund of the expelled member’s subscription will be at the sole discretion of Jade Club management.

We do not tolerate racism, bigotry, bullying, or any other abusive behavior targeting individuals or groups. This includes but is not limited to offensive speech or actions regarding race, religion, age, ethnicity, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender or sexual identities, and lifestyle choices.

If your account is reported, we may temporarily hide your profile while we investigate and/or ask to speak with you directly.

We expect our members to be honest, kind, and respectful to each other, both inside and outside of the Jade Club community. If at any time we believe that any member’s conduct weakens or is contrary to the interests of Jade Club or its members, we may suspend or expel the member without having to give any reason, and at our absolute discretion.

Again, a refund of the expelled member’s subscription will be at the sole discretion of Jade Club management.

We also ask that our members try really, really hard to keep all communications with other members to the Jade Club app until after you match. Everyone that you swipe on will see you back, we promise. And if they like you = it’s a match! Otherwise, it’s just kind of annoying to get DM’s from random people. Or worse…LinkedIn requests (shudder). Trust us to do what we do best, okay!?

If you’re not going to use your account, we have the right to suspend or terminate your membership. Plus, if you’re not getting anything out of your membership, it’s probably better for both of us to transfer your spot to someone on the waitlist anyway.

Don’t do it. Please. You will get banned. And you may not get a refund.
